The splendor of Vidarbha and the sub-capital of Maharashtra is just 45 km to the south-east of Nagpur metropolis. Umred town in the distance, surrounded by rural area. This should be for the overall development of the students in the area, as well as education which is the backbone of the nation. On this day, for the physical and intellectual development of the youth,Shri.Vilasrao Mamulkar started BPEd. College for the first time in 1993 in Umred city.

Inspired by the goal of social work, Hon. Vilasrao Mamulkar started Jotirao Fule Samajkarya Mahavidyalaya in Umred on 1st August 1994 after a relentless struggle.

Students who were initially enrolled in college would be amazed if they saw the present form of the college. Because trees bear fruit only when they grow. But the young Students, who grew up in and around Umred, was and is so capable that, despite being a small college, with the curiosity, perseverance and faith of education, he has succeeded every year, in every field and left his mark on the city of Umred today. Today, the same students say, "This was possible only because of the rites received from Jotirao Fule Samajkarya Mahavidyalaya."

Acquiring a degree not only helps in the academic development of the student but also the meaning of the degree, its application in the society, its importance for the meaning / job, personality development, courage and experience in interviewing, knowledge about the nature of people in the society, etc. Many things are needed today. And the same is given to the students through the course of social work in our college.

Knowledge of rural lifestyle, etc. is gained through rural camps, educational trips, seminars, seminars, workshops, labor and various programs. The faculty and teaching staff are constantly striving for the future of the students.
